Elie Wiesel wrote a book named Night about his experience in the Holocaust. Elise Wiesel was born on September 30, 1928, in Sighet, Transylvania. Before Elie and his parents were forced to move to Nazi concentration camps, he took Jewish religious studies. Elie Wiesel survived the Holocaust then later wrote the book Night, then after he wrote the book, he also became an activist, orator and teacher, speaking out against persecution and injustice through out the world. Soon after surviving the Holocaust, Elie Wiesel went on to study at the Sorbonne in France from 1948-1951 and started journalism, writing for French and Isreal publications.
