Night Summary
Elie Wiesel started in a small town in Transylvania called Sighet with his family and the other Jewish people. Ellie's family and the other Jews failed to escape before the Nazis got there and they were forced into ghettos, then later were forced on to train cars to travel to concentration camps. The camp they were sent to was called Auschwitz, were Elie was separated from his mother and sisters but remained with his father. Throughout the course of the book Elie sees thing no one should see, and fights for his religion. As Elie fights to survive the Holocaust, he struggles with the destruction of his faith in Gods justice. On top of things he has to care for himself and his father who is fighting for his life to survive. From Auschwitz they are sent to a different concentration camp called Buna. Then the allied troops began to approach, they head into Buchenwald. Elies father dies just a few months before the camps were liberated by the allies, leaving Elie without his father still struggling for survival and then later survives the concentration camps.
